Wannon to Naracoorte

Beautiful sunshine again as we headed west ? Seeing we were close to S.A. Rosey wanted to get over the border today so we told Navman Karen to take us to Naracoorte. Of course the easy way would have been to follow the main highway but not Karen. Try towing a 27' caravan up through every hill within cooee and then throw in some very narrow back roads, bloody satnav, still we did find some very cheap Diesel.
Finally made the border and SWMBO was very happy.
Made it into Naracoorte at lunchtime. Forget the caravan parks we found a lovely place to park up at the Naracoorte Showgrounds.
Grassy area with power, water, toilets and showers for $20/night. Think we'll hang around for a week and see the sights.

Monday 9-1

Colac to Wannon Falls

In typical Victorian weather conditions Sunday arvo turned to Crap so we decided to move in search of sun. After studying Wikicamps we headed to a place called Wannon that had a camp area near a waterfall. What a surprise, a perfect bush camp complete with good old Aussie "drop dunnies".
This being summer the waterfall was struggling.
We had Magpies eating out of our hands & Ma and Pa Kettle keeping us amused.
This area is 24 hrs. only so tomorrow we head off again.

1st Hop

Korumburra to Colac

We left Korumburra (cheering loudly) on Saturday 7-1-2017 and headed to the Sorrento to Queenscliff Ferry. 1st on & 1st off, so far a good start.

Arrived at our first stop of Meredith Park Colac at mid arvo to find a beautiful area surrounding Lake Colac.
Bloody Hell, we could have picked a different day to arrive, Korumburra mid 20's to Colac 42. So, we did the only thing you can do in these trying conditions, drink & watch the cricket.
Life can be hard at times !!

Australia the Easy Way

Starting life over

Well it's finally happening, we are on the road full-time. We've cleaned out the house and put it up for sale with an agent while we travel around this big country and see what others have been raving about :)
